Canadian immigration records
Read what IRCC actually wrote on your file.
GCMS notes are the officer's own remarks on your application — the status, the reasoning, the next step. We request them from IRCC and explain them in plain language.

How it works
The whole ATIP process, handled in three steps.
Provide details
Fill out a short form with your application number and UCI. It takes less than three minutes — no account required.

We file your request with IRCC immediately. Your official GCMS notes arrive by email in about 30 days.

What are GCMS notes?+
GCMS (Global Case Management System) notes are the internal records IRCC officers keep on your immigration application. They show the detailed status, officer remarks, and reasons behind decisions on your file.
How long does it take to receive my notes?+
We submit your ATIP request to IRCC immediately. By law, IRCC has 30 days to respond, so you typically receive your official GCMS notes within about 30 days.
What is the IMM 5744 form?+
The IMM 5744 is the consent form that authorizes us to request information on your behalf. You sign and upload it during the application, and our system validates it before submission to help prevent IRCC rejections.
How much does it cost?+
A Basic GCMS notes request is $25 CAD. The Premium package, which adds a plain-language explanation of your notes in English, Punjabi, or Hindi, is $40 CAD.
Can I request my GCMS notes for free?+
Yes. You can file an ATIP request for your own personal information directly with IRCC at no cost. Our service charges for the convenience of handling the paperwork, validating your consent form to avoid rejections, and explaining your notes in plain language.
What is a UCI number?+
Your UCI (Unique Client Identifier) is the personal ID number IRCC assigns to your file. It usually appears on your application correspondence and helps IRCC locate your records quickly when we file your request.
Can I request GCMS notes if I'm outside Canada?+
Yes. If you are outside Canada, the request can be made on your behalf by an authorized representative using your signed IMM 5744 consent form, which is exactly the process our service handles for you.
Do GCMS notes show why my application was refused?+
In most cases, yes. The officer's remarks in your GCMS notes typically record the specific reasoning behind a refusal in far more detail than the refusal letter, which is why many applicants request them before reapplying.
Is GCMS.ca affiliated with the Government of Canada?+
No. GCMS.ca is an independent service that helps you file your ATIP request. We are not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada.
